Welcome to SK Trucking and Hauling LLC. These Terms of Service and Shipping Policies govern the logistical partnership between our company and our clients. By engaging our services, you acknowledge a professional commitment to the precision, safety, and regulatory standards that define our operation.

1. Definitions

"Carrier" refers to SK Trucking and Hauling LLC. "Shipper" refers to the entity, individual, or representative requesting transportation services. "Consignee" refers to the party designated to receive the freight at the point of destination.

2. Service Scope

SK Trucking and Hauling LLC provides regional, long-haul, and specialized transportation logistics. Our services are subject to equipment availability and adherence to Department of Transportation (DOT) safety regulations. We reserve the right to refuse any shipment that poses a risk to safety or legal compliance.

3. Quotes and Rates

Quotes are based on information provided by the Shipper regarding weight, dimensions, and commodity type. Rates are subject to change if the actual shipment details differ from the initial quote. Unless otherwise specified, quotes are valid for 15 calendar days.

4. Payment Terms

Standard payment terms are Net 30 days from the date of the invoice unless otherwise agreed upon in writing. Late payments are subject to a 1.5% monthly interest charge. SK Trucking reserves the right to withhold delivery of freight for accounts with significantly overdue balances.

5. Freight Handling & Shipper Obligations

The Shipper is responsible for the proper packaging, labeling, and documentation of all freight. Shipments must be ready for pickup at the agreed time to avoid detention charges. Hazardous materials must be fully disclosed and documented in compliance with federal law.

6. Liability and Claims

Carrier liability for loss or damage is limited to $0.50 per pound or $100,000 per shipment, whichever is less, unless higher value is declared in advance and additional fees are paid. Claims for visible damage must be noted on the Proof of Delivery (POD) at the time of arrival. All formal claims must be filed within 9 months of the delivery date.

7. Insurance

SK Trucking and Hauling LLC maintains comprehensive commercial auto liability and cargo insurance that meets or exceeds all federal requirements. Certificates of insurance are available upon request for active clients.

8. Governing Law

These terms and any service agreements shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of South Carolina. Any legal actions or disputes arising from our services shall be adjudicated in the courts of North Charleston, SC.
